As tempting as it is to make this blog about animal rights (or really the lack thereof) and dive deep into the many atrocities that the majority of our fellow earthlings must endure, I will restrain myself and comment on the message in the image.
It's really a no-brainer, people who eat animals are contributing to a supply and demand cycle. Animals are transported, imprisoned, abused and murdered so that various meats can be packed on to supermarket shelves. It is much like buying stolen goods, if nobody bought stolen goods, there would be far less theft.
Lets forget about the normal ridiculous excuses like: they domesticated, we need protein, they don't really know what is happening etc. Lets also not try answer the question, who gives humans the right to kill animals just because they can. Lets instead just focus on this point.
The point itself is actually so simple that I am astonished that so many people, some even intelligent, just don't get it. Fact - if you eat animals you are simply not an animal lover. You can't be, what love includes murder? You may not like the cruelty but if you part of it you part of it. Don't fool yourself, there is no nice way to slaughter an animal and again, who made humans the decision makers for all species on this planet?
I am not trying to convince anyone to change their eating habits or lifestyles, I am simply pointing out that those who sit with a piece of dead animal on their plates and profess to be an animal lover should really choose their words more carefully - you only fooling yourself, that piece of meat now needs to be replaced..
